Peeling

Peeling

what’s Peeling?

Using a chemical solution to remove the outermost layers of skin is known as a chemical peel. The regrowing skin has a smoother texture. You might need to have a light or medium peel more than once to achieve the desired outcome.Usually on the face, chemical peels are used to address scars, damaged skin, and wrinkles. They can be coupled with other cosmetic treatments or performed alone. And they can be carried out at varying depths, from shallow to profound. Although they produce more dramatic effects, deeper chemical peels require longer recovery times.

What does it treat?

One method of skin resurfacing is a chemical peel. You’ll select from three depths of chemical peels depending on the concerns you want to address with the procedure:

Light chemical Peel: The epidermis, or outermost layer of skin, is removed using a gentle (superficial) chemical peel. It is used to treat dryness, uneven skin tone, acne, and fine wrinkles. A mild peel could be applied every two to five weeks.

Medium Chemical Peel . Skin cells from the epidermis and some of the uppermost layer of your middle layer of skin (dermis) are removed during a medium chemical peel. It is used to address uneven skin tone, wrinkles, and acne scars. To get or keep the intended outcome, you might need to repeat the process.

Deep chemical scrubbing:
Even more skin cells are removed with a deep chemical peel. If you have deeper wrinkles, scars, or precancerous growths, your doctor might suggest one. Repeat operations won’t be necessary to achieve the desired results.

Chemical peels are not able to tighten drooping skin or get rid of severe wrinkles or scars.

Results:

A mild chemical peel reduces the visibility of fine wrinkles and enhances the texture and tone of the skin. The effects are gradual at first, but they get better with more sessions. Your skin will be considerably smoother after a medium chemical peel. The look and feel of the treated areas will significantly improve following a deep chemical peel. The outcomes might not last forever. New wrinkles and color changes in the skin can result from aging and new sun damage over time.Every peel causes the newly exposed skin to become momentarily more photosensitive. Consult your physician about the optimal duration of sun protection for your skin type.

Longevity:

Results from a light or superficial peel typically last one to two months, whereas a medium peel might last up to six months. The outcomes of a deep peel, if necessary, will usually last a lifetime. Examples of such uses include treating severe sun damage and medical dermatology issues.

Treatment Time:

This treatment option is not one that is going to take a lot of time. From start to finish, this treatment only takes about 30 minutes.
